Injection Blow Molding of Sterilized Polypropylene Centrifuge Bottles for the Biopharmaceutical Industry

medical device manufacturing BMP Medical, A Biomedical Polymers Company, used a Jomar, 85S injection blow molding machine to produce these 500mL centrifuge bottles for use in a biopharmaceutical production application. We also supplied a platinum-cured O-ring to increase seal integrity, sent out for sterilization, particulate and endotoxin certifications. They are then repackaged and double bagged in a unit of measure of four or eight.

Our skilled and experienced employees manufactured the polypropylene part, which weighs approximately 55.5 grams, to +.005″/-.000″ tolerances.

We produced 65,000 parts, as per the blanket order, with quarterly releases. We then bagged and placed the parts in 16″ x 12″ x 19″ cartons for delivery to our biopharmaceutical industry client in Massachusetts.
